Nova Polishes!!
Hi everybody! I hope everyone who celebrated had an awesome Christmas! I've got 3 great polishes to share with you today. They might seem a little random...one China Glaze, one Formula X by Sephora, and a Zoya. One's a texture, one of them is holographic glitter, and one of them is glitter in a jelly base...What do these all have in common, you may ask?

Ciate Tree Trinkets-Swatches
Hi! Hope everyone's having an awesome Saturday! So I recently picked up the Ciate Tree Trinkets gift set. It's a holiday set and has 6 mini Ciate glitter polishes, all packed into cute little ornament cases.Today I have all 6 polishes to show you! Not all of these glitters really say "holidays" to me, but they're all unique and awesome! The whole set was only $30 and can be purchased at Sephora, which I think is pretty decent for 6 polishes, even if they're mini sizes. Let's look at the polishes, shall we?

China Glaze-For Audrey Nail Art
Hello everybody! I hope you've all been enjoying your weekends! I had a long weekend this week (4 days!) and I really don't want to go back to school tomorrow :( But oh well to make things better I've got some nail polish and nail art to share with you guys! My awesome friend recently gave me some new nail polish for my bday, and I got to use one of them today! Here is my mani:
My new polish is, of course, China Glaze-For Audrey. I feel like this polish was really popular in the whole nail community, but I couldn't get my hands on it until now. And I'm so happy because it's such a nice color!
It went on really easily in 2 coats. It looks a little lumpy in these pics but it really wasn't in real life. Now the design I had in mind was sort of a roses look. I'm not really sure how well that came out...
I just used a dotting tool and dark blue polish to create the design. For the glitter gradients, I used Sephora Formula X-Light Me Up Edison. It's a really fun holographic gold glitter.
So yeah that's all I've got on my nails this week. Here are the awesome polishes my friend got me:
From left to right, it's China Glaze-Fairy Dust, Prism, and For Audrey. Yay I'm going to call this birthday haul #2!
Thanks for reading this guys and enjoy your week!

Essie-Bikini So Teeny
Hi everyone! Quick little post today, I just wanted to show you all what I've been wearing on my nails.I'm not usually a one color person...you know me, designs and glitter and what not. But today I was just like, you know, I bought this polish a while ago and it's so pretty and I haven't worn it yet. I was in a really periwinkle mood.
Also just a note, that I've been trying out a different camera, just out of curiosity. I'm not sure how I really like these new pictures, but I was just testing it out.
This is Essie-Bikini So Teeny, and this picture is not color accurate at all. Bikini So Teeny definitely has more purple undertones and is more of a periwinkle color. I also used Orly-Etoile on top, to give it some more shimmer. That doesn't really show up either. And usually I don't like polishes with shimmer. Like I said, really weird mood today.
And then guess what. I MATTED it! For those of you who know me, I NEVER matte things! Gosh I was like all sorts of messed up today. Shimmer, then matte...that NEVER happens!
So yeah that's all I got for today. Oh also the formula is trash. It's like streaky and runny and thin and watery, and I can still see some bald/patchy spots even after I topcoated it. *sigh* and it was such a nice color too.
This whole one color thing is so not me.
Don't get used to it.

My Birthday Balloon Mani!
Hey guys! Exciting post for you today! So I know I'm a couple days late with this post, but my SIXTEENTH birthday was on Monday! It was a pretty awesome day, starting with my counting down the minutes to Monday morning on a marching band bus coming back from Annapolis. But that's besides the point. And what would my birthday be without a manicure to go along with it?!
So I did these cute balloon nails!
Yay balloons! Is there any better way to celebrate your birthday than with balloons? I think not.
Except for cake.
And presents.
:P
I used a sponge to dab on a slight white "french" tip. After that I used a dotting tool to make the balloon shape. The colors, from pinky to thumb, are Zoya-Arizona, Essie-Playdate, Sally Hansen-Mellow Yellow, Essie-Turqoise & Caicos, and Francesca's-Bridesmaid.
I used a striping brush and black to roughly outline the balloons and add the string. These were meant to look a little cartoon-y and child-like. I also used Wet N' Wild-Kaleidoscope to add some glittery sparkle!
So yay that was my birthday manicure!
Also, got myself some early birthday presents, the first of many to come I'm sure :P
The left is Sephora Formula X-Light Me Up Edison and the right is Sephora Formula X-Nova! Yay another polish named Nova! Be ready to see swatches of those coming up!
That's all for today guys thanks for reading!

Halloween Mani!
Hi everybody! Quick little post for you guys today, I just had to show you all my Halloween manicure!
So yeah I know I'm a little early but our town's Halloween parade is today, so I figured it's acceptable. you should see our flute section costumes... :P
So anyway i did a simple little tip design for Halloween:
Ugh I suck at doing tips. Never really liked tip designs.
Anyway, I used 1 coat of base coat, then Zoya-Arizona for the orange tips. My secret tips weapon: reinforcement stickers. I stuck one on each of my nails then painted on the orange, pulled the stickers off and BOOM.
Instant almost-perfect tips.
I used my little detailing brush and my black polish to outline the tips. I've never been good at outlining. Oh well :-/ practice makes permanent
I decided to spice things up with some glitter, so I took Maybelline-Clearly Spotted and applied it to my tips. Sigh, glitter always makes things better.
One coat of topcoat to make it shiny, and yay, my nails were done!
So does anyone have fun Halloween plans? I plan on eating all our Halloween candy and only giving the trick or treaters the bad candy that I don't like. Call me a horrible human being, but I'm sure there are little kids who'd appreciate my 3 muskateers and milky ways, so it's mutually beneficial.
But the kit kats are mine.
Our flute section Halloween parade costumes :P
I know, we're so cool.
Ok thanks for reading guys, and have an awesome Halloween! Eat lot's of candy!!!

Ombre Chevrons
Sigh.
Why do I do this for you guys? I mean, I've got 3 tests this week, and an essay rough draft due on Thursday, plus marching band practice for 3 hours after school, 40 minutes of flute practice a day, and a season of Lost that needs finishing, and yet I still take valuable time out of my weekend to paint my nails and blog about them.
Answer:
Because I love doing it
What other reason do I need?
Case in point, let's look at this week's nails, shall we?
So uhm I know I said I love doing this...but dear God by the time I finished these I was so happy, because these nails were a PAIN.
But they look great. so whatever
And I promise that these look so much better in person. In person it's harder to see the places where I screwed up.
:P
So the pretty gold base here is China Glaze-Blonde Bombshelll, which is this awesome yellow gold glittery base. You all know how much I ADORE blue and gold together!
The blues in order, from light to dark, are Essie-Lilacism, Orly-Snowcone, a blue polish from China, and Butter London-Royal Navy. That polish is my love. I have never found a blue that I love as much as Royal Navy. Apologies to the 30+ blues in my stash.
But seriously like if I could marry a bottle of nail polish, it would be Royal Navy.
I used striping tape to block out the lines, then painstakingly went in with the polish brush and did my best to paint between the freaking lines. I failed and spazzed a couple times.
I did a reverse ombre on my ring fingers and thumbs as an accent nail.
So yeah it was kinda a bad idea for me to have painted every single one of my nails like this, because each nail took like 10 minutes to do, something that I did not realize until I started my left hand.
I really wanted to not do anything on my left hand and just leave it gold, but you know how I'm like really OCD about this sort of thing. Of course they had to match!
So don't get me wrong, I really like these nails alot. I think they're pretty and they stand out and they're overall awesomeness. Let me just tell you that a lot of people think I wear fake nails or appliques or something. I think I need a shirt or something that says "I paint my own nails" on it. I dunno. That'd be cool.
I'm just saying that I'm probably not going to do a design this time consuming for a while. You're all just lucky that I had practically no homework this weekend.
So yeah 2 coats of topcoat made them smooth and shiny and ready to wear! Yay!
Now my hands are really cold and I have to pee.
And here's my cat
Just because he was being really cute today.
Ok that's all guys and thanks for reading as always!

Nail Art-Glitter Pyramids
Hello everybody! Happy long weekend! I love long weekends so much! Anyone have fun plans? I'm getting together with my marching band buds tomorrow to work on our costumes for the Halloween parade! Should be fun.
So today I've got some cool glittery nail art for you guys! I call them my glitter pyramids, cuz that's exactly what they are. But let me just say...that these nails look SO MUCH BETTER in person than in these pics. My camera just fails at picking up glitter. Also I think he was having a bad day :( My camera and light were just not getting along today...
Anyway this is my awesome blingy manicure for today:
See? Glitter pyramids!
So the first thing I did was pick out my base color, Zoya-Frida
To be honest the hardest part of this mani was picking out the base color. I'm not kidding, I must have spent at least 10 minutes in front of my boxes of polish trying to find a nice color. But seriously when I picked up Frida I just about had a nailgasm cuz good Lord it was PERFECT. I honestly couldn't have found a better color for this.
Plus it's a jelly and jellies are automatically amazing. I mean, look at that shine!! And that's no topcoat! It looks like I'm wearing jello on my nails...i LOVE IT!!!
This is 3 coats, which I think is the perfect opacity for this polish. AGGHH I'M SO OBSESSED WITH THIS POLISH!!
So after the base it was one thick coat of clear and then I placed the large glitter into the pyramid shape. For some reason the pinkies on both my hands are crooked, but none of the other fingers are. I'm really not sure why.
Here's my thumb, I did a 5 across myramid on the thumb...just cuz why not

Really the glitter placement was pretty easy, working with large glitter isn't really that hard. God I love glitter placements so much! And like they always look so hard and complicated. I get so many compliments on my glitter placement manis, from like friends and parents of friends and teachers and everything.
So I used silver holo glitter, with gold holo glitter in an upside down pyramid from the cuticle as accent nails.
After that it was 2 nice thick generous coats of topcoat to finish it off. I really hope I don't lose any pieces of glitter, although that does tend to happen with large glitter like this. Either that or I tend to pick it off :/
So that's all the glitter I have for today! I've uh gotta get back to watching Lost cuz I watched like 5 episodes yesterday and it was amazing and I think I'm officially addicted now. Damn there goes my entire social life.
Anyway thanks for reading guys and hope you all enjoy your Monday off!

Nail Art-Dot Circles
Yay I'm back! I'm posting omg I'm not dead and I'm here again! Yayayay!
Ok so this post might get weird seeing as I didn't get back from my marching band competition till 1 am, and then i was so hyper and I couldn't fall asleep until like 2 and then I got up at like 7 and I'm going a little sleep deprivation crazy and I've been listening to epic metal lord of the rings all day...but it's good, it's all good. We got first place so it's tooootally worth it
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
And I actually did nail art for you guys! How great is that?!?!
So these are my nails today...aren't they purdy? They're like little circles made of dots, like circles made of circles!
And OMG I used PINK! I, like, never use pink polish, like, ever!
But then the other day I bought 3 new pink polishes and I have NO IDEA WHY!! I was in like this really girly mood. So i was like yay pink I'm gonna use all my pretty new pink polishes today!
The pink on my pinky is OPI-Chic From Ears to Tail, and it's the nice pink with a little shimmer in it, but you can't see it. And the formula sucks. Like it was so thin and watery and streaky, but top coat makes everything better and now it looks perfect so WHATEVER!!!!!
HA
The sparkly turquoise on my index finger is this random polish i picked up in China, but gosh isn't it awesome! The white base is OPI-My Boyfriend Scales Walls. For the pink circlies, the large dots in the middle are Essie-Fiesta, and the other two are Francesca brand polishes, the light is Bridesmaid, and the dark is Stuck at Sea. God both those colors are like so illuminatingly bright i swear they glow in the dark.
THAT'S AWESOME
For the blue nails the large dots are the random chinese nail polish, then the light blue is Zoya-Wednesday and the dark blue is Julep-Eloise.
Then I used a dotting tool to make the design, I mean, duh.
Sorry was that obnoxious?
Whatever I'm so hyper right now like I don't even care
My dotting tool got away from my in a couple places so some dots are just bigger than the others
:-/
AND LOOK HOW SPARKLY MY INDEX FINGER IS!! And it even has pink shimmer in it so it like matches the whole blue/pink thing and I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE THAT! Isn't that GREAT?!
So I finished with 2 coats of topcoat, yada yada yada.
So there are awesome! Yay I'm sooooo happy that I actually got to paint my nails with something fancy for the first time in like 2 weeks!! And I love this design and I'm gonna be so distracted by my nails during class and stuff (oh please don't pretend that's never happened to you) but like WHATEVER
WOOO I'm in such a lord of the rings mood I hafta go watch the entire trilogy in a row right now.
RIGHT NOW
Damn it I have school tomorrow.
And I have to make a cake.
