Neon Moons & Tips On Nude

Hi guys. I know I'm supposed to be excited and all. About it being almost the last day of sophomore year. But I'm like kinda bummed about Spain and everything. It's not like I was rooting for them or anything, I just wanted Spain to win something. It was a sad ending:( But hooray for Chile I guess!
So this post is gonna be a quick one. I did a simple half moon and tips mani, with some neons on nude.

Glam Nails Inspired By Meryl Davis

So I've been totally into these Lacquer Legion prompts recently, in case you don't know what they are it's basically this thing where every month a group of bloggers creates a theme, and everyone can post nails according to that theme. I really love them, and I'm always doing them! Anyway I'm super late with this post, but April's theme was Glam, and that was sooo fun to do cuz you guys all know how much I love glitter and all things that sparkle! So here's what I came up with!

Cartoon Flower Nail Art

Hey guys how have your weekends been? It's been kinda rainy and dreary hear in NJ...I love it! I mean, you can tell by the name of this blog. I love the rain, and I love the spring weather. It literally started pouring outside as I write this...awesome.
Today's nails are a contrast to the rain, cute cartoon flowers! I've mentioned how much I love floral nail art right? All sorts of floral print, and I've never done cartoon flowers like these before. See below for more!

Triangle Tribal Tips

Hello happy Tuesday! I'm so happy Monday is gone and over, I had a horrible Monday. As if Monday's could be good at all right haha. Whatever I have some fun nail art today. I find that tribal print really isn't something I do often, if at all. I haven't really done a full on tribal print mani, but I did give a go at fun tribal tips!

Funky Retro Triangles With OPI Polishes

Hello everyone, how are you all? It's almost Friday, yay! I stopped at my local drugstore the other day and got some of the polishes from the new OPI Brazil collection. Honestly I wish I could've gotten all of them, it's such a great collection! I'll definitely be going back for more later :P Anyway I used all 3 of the polishes in this nail look for today.

Circles Mani With Ombre Background

Hi everyone happy Monday! Did everyone have a nice weekend? Mine was quite nice, I did LOT'S of cleaning! Little early for spring cleaning I guess, but I just sorta "got in the mood" if you know what I mean. I managed to totally rearrange my room, and I also got rid of a huge box that's been taking up room in the basement for AGES. Mission accomplished haha!
So today's nail art for you all today is this nice concentric circle design. Take a look!

OPI-Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?

Hello everybody! Hope you're all having a nice week so far. I've been enjoying my summer camp, except for the long walk home :( Good news though yesterday I got to blow some of my money on nail polish! Yay! I got a few Essie's, and I don't really remember being a huge Essie fan, but all of a sudden I noticed how many Essie's I had in my collection and I was like woah! I'm also like super exhausted and sweaty as a write this because I've been biking a lot recently. My friend and I have been going on these daily bike rides, we average about 11 miles a day, it's crazy fun but it's soooo tiring!
Today's polish isn't Essie though, but it is one of my favorite colors, OPI-Did You'Ear About Van Gogh. Can we just take a second to laugh and marvel at the name of this polish? I swear I'm pretty sure I bought this just for the name.
The second I said this was one of my favorites you could probably figure it was a nude polish:P I am such a sucker for nudes/tans/off whites. This nude leans more in the tan department, it's a nice light tan with yellow undertones.
This polish is from I think the Dutch collection from a couple years ago. I could be wrong though, but I know this polish is a little "old".
God it's so pretty! Reminds be of another favorite, Zoya-Farah
Didn't hurt that the formula on this was like utter perfection! Almost a one coater, for people with small nails this is definitely a one coater. I needed two just to smooth out a couple areas, but the formula was actually flawless.
OPI polishes cost about $8-9 and you can buy them in beauty retailers and in places like Target.
That's it for today guys! I'm planning a couple of fun posts for the future so stay tuned! Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!

OPI-Berlin There, Done That

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a nice fourth of July. I just kinda chilled at home...watched some Buffy the Vampire Slayer...fun stuff.
So today's post is gonna be a short one. The color I have for you all is OPI-Berlin There, Done That. It's from their Germany collection, and it's like one of my favorite colors!
Berlin There Done That is a lovely taupy putty-ish brown creme, I don't really know how to describe it! It leans towards brown, but it's a very warm looking brown, it's soft and mellow. It has some purple undertones in it, which I think is what makes it look this nice and warm. I love warm browns with purple undertones like this. I have at least 2 more polishes like it.
This is a brown polish, but I sorta file it under the "nudes" category, just because I can use it as a background for any color and it goes with everything. My thinking process is a little weird like that.
Let me not forget to mention the flawless formula on this one! Perfectly opaque in 2 coats, probably one if you have smaller nails. Let me also just say right now how much I LOVE those OPI brushes! I understand why some people with tiny little nails don't like them, but for me, they are just so perfect! It's just like smooth, even coverage in only 2-3 strokes. And it just covers the nail so well! God I promise OPI didn't pay me to say this, I just love their brushes so much!
OPI retails for around $8-9, although my local drug store totally rips me off by charging $9.50 a bottle. All their nail polish is overpriced. But I chose not to bring it up. You can buy OPI in most beauty retailers like Ulta, and in places like Target or CVS.
Ok guys that's all I have for today. Happy Friday, and if I don't get to post over the weekend have a nice weekend everybody!

Nail's Inc-Sugar House Lane

Hello fellow muggles and lovers of nail polish! Hope I'm not offending any wizards/witches reading this, because that would be SOOO COOL!! If you guys know of any witches who love nail polish please tell me! Cuz that would be AWESOME!
Anyway today's polish is a nice fun glitter I picked up a while ago. Nails Inc-Sugar House Lane. It's from their sprinkles collection, which consisted of 4 polishes with different colored glitter in a colored base. It was supposed to look like cupcake sprinkles, and I think they're really cute. Only Sugar House Lane really called out to me, and you'll see why in a sec, but all the others are pretty cute too!
SHL is black, white, and silver small hex glitter in a nude brown base. *Nude!* I love nude/tans, so this is the only color in the collection that I was really tempted to buy.
The glitter in this does tend to sink to the bottom, so I gave mine a good shake before using it.
The formula on this was flawless. With all that glitter I expected it to be thick, but in fact it was actually kind of thin! I used 2 coats plus one coat of top coat. I am really in love with this formula, why can't all jelly base glitters be like this?! (cough cough urban outfitters pluto I'm talking to you).
The only downside to this polish was that removal was a PAIN IN THE ASS. It wasn't that it was gritty or anything, it was a pretty smooth removal, it's just that you have to use a different cotton ball for EVERY FINGER or the glitter from the previous nails would get ALL OVER YOUR HANDS. I didn't figure that out until I was done removing, and by that time I had glitter stuck to all my fingers, even on my left hand which I didn't even swatch!
Aside from the removal, this polish is pretty awesome and I'm kind of in love with it! I'm going to have to do some sort of nail design with it. Already brainstorming ideas...
Nail's inc polishes can be found in Sephora for $9.50, and you can also find it in department stores like Selfridges in the UK, but I only know that because I saw them there when I went to London.
That's it for today's post, and I'll see you all tomorrow! Enjoy your weekend!

My first blog post! OPI MY Vampire is Buff

Hello everyone! This is my first time blogging...it's pretty exciting! I've been painting my nails for about a year now, and since I now consider myself a "capable" nail artist, I thought it would be a loss if I didn't share my creations with other people. There probably isn't anyone reading this now...but hopefully there will be one day! I also have a bunch of nail polish that I bought but haven't really tried yet, and this blog gives me the excellent opportunity to finally swatch all of my polish. So for my first blog post EVER I thought I would keep it simple. No fancy nail art or anything. I'm just gonna show you one of my favorite nail polishes:
OPI-My Vampire is Buff:

My Vampire is Buff is a great creamy yellow-y creme. I love this color, I really like nudes and tans like this. They also look really good with my skin tone. The formula was great, I used 2 coats for this picture. The first coat was pretty streaky but coat 2 made it perfect! I use this alot for glitter layering and things like that, colors like this just tend to go with every color!
Also sorry for the bad lighting. I know the captions say sunlight but it's been sort of grey and rainy all weekend, not really sunny. Hopefully I'll have some tomorrow though...
I also don't get the name of this polish is it like a Buffy the vampire slayer thing?
