Orange Bows

Hey hey everyone! So YAYYY for the US for surviving that group of death right?! No one thought we could do it, but the American team performed excellently and we were determined, and we made it through! AND over Portugal and Ghana! You can't blame me for being so happy about this.
I don't have any nail art that's at all related, but I DO have these orange bows!

Zoya Pixiedust Polishes

Hey hey hey! What's up everybody? Weekend plans anyone? I have absolutely NOTHING it's gonna be great! Just a couple days for some physics work, some quality bonding time with Netflix, and of course nail polish!
I have an awesome post for today. Zoya had their awesome Earth day exchange a couple weeks ago and my 6 new Zoya polishes finally showed up! I took the chance and bought 6 of their pixiedust polishes. I've heard great things about them, and they have fantastic colors, they're so great! I've been a little slow to the texture trend, I'm only really just getting into them now. I think these pixiedusts are really going to help!
I have all 6 Zoya's swatched today, keep reading!

Essie-Saturday Disco Fever

Hi! Tomorrow's the last day of school yay! There was like NO ONE in school today, it was weird! I'm just going tomorrow because I want to see my english final. And then no more school!
So today I actually have a recent polish to show you, not one that I picked up like two years ago. It's Essie-Saturday Disco Fever and it's from their new neons collection or something. Now let me just get a little disclaimer thing here, THIS POLISH IS NOT ORANGE!!!!! If you check my Sunday Nail Art post from last Sunday with the zig zags, that pinkish red color, that's what SDF actually looks like. No matter what I did, this polish photographed orange. It drives me crazy.

UGHGHGHGH I know it looks SO ORANGE BUT IT'S NOT!!! I swear that it's definitely more of a red pink almost color. I would never buy an orange polish, I hate orange!
And yes, I know, I thought of this too...
Great movie. Btw.
SDF without top coat. Dries satin-matte.
Even the bottle shot looks orange. Grrr stupid polish and camera, why you no cooperate!!
This was a neon, so it dried a little satin matte(2nd picture). I'm wearing one coat of top coat in all the other pictures. The formula was a lot better than I had expected, not nearly as sheer as I thought it would be. I'm wearing only 2 coats in these pictures over a tinted base coat. You can see a little bit of nail line, but it's good enough for me.
I like how this polish looks all juicy and jelly-like. It's also a really pretty color, remember, THIS IS NOT ORANGE. It's a reddish pink. Stupid camera.
Essie polishes cost around $7 and can be found in most drug stores.
Anyway, I have the whole afternoon ahead of me, and I promised my friend I would watch the season 2 finale of Sherlock, so...I'll see y'all later!
And yes that is Martin Freeman aka the hobbit :P

Color Club-Coral Cascade

Woah check out the alliteration in the title! I don't know why but it reminds me of "I would like to partake in your pecan pie" :P
Aaaaanyway... today's post is just a simple nail polish, Color Club-Coral Cascade. It is pretty coral-y color, but it leans more orange. I would definitely put it in the orange family. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect coral polish, with the perfect balance of pink and orange...
The formula on this was alright. It was rather thin and streaky, though it eventually evened itself out. It tends to apply streaky, but then it smooths out and is smooth when it dries...does that make sense? You can see a bit of lumpiness and stuff on my pinky. I'm using 3 coats in these pics.
Unfortunately this is real ugly color on my skin tone. I've never been one for reds or oranges. I do use this color for nail art at times though cuz it's pretty, just not on me :(
Color Club polishes can be found at beauty retailers, I got mine at Harmon's. I think it cost $7? I could be wrong.
That's all for today thanks for reading!
