China Glaze-For Audrey Nail Art

Hello everybody! I hope you've all been enjoying your weekends! I had a long weekend this week (4 days!) and I really don't want to go back to school tomorrow :( But oh well to make things better I've got some nail polish and nail art to share with you guys! My awesome friend recently gave me some new nail polish for my bday, and I got to use one of them today! Here is my mani:
My new polish is, of course, China Glaze-For Audrey. I feel like this polish was really popular in the whole nail community, but I couldn't get my hands on it until now. And I'm so happy because it's such a nice color!
It went on really easily in 2 coats. It looks a little lumpy in these pics but it really wasn't in real life. Now the design I had in mind was sort of a roses look. I'm not really sure how well that came out...
I just used a dotting tool and dark blue polish to create the design. For the glitter gradients, I used Sephora Formula X-Light Me Up Edison. It's a really fun holographic gold glitter.
So yeah that's all I've got on my nails this week. Here are the awesome polishes my friend got me:
From left to right, it's China Glaze-Fairy Dust, Prism, and For Audrey. Yay I'm going to call this birthday haul #2!
Thanks for reading this guys and enjoy your week!

Essie-Bikini So Teeny

Hi everyone! Quick little post today, I just wanted to show you all what I've been wearing on my nails.I'm not usually a one color person...you know me, designs and glitter and what not. But today I was just like, you know, I bought this polish a while ago and it's so pretty and I haven't worn it yet. I was in a really periwinkle mood.
Also just a note, that I've been trying out a different camera, just out of curiosity. I'm not sure how I really like these new pictures, but I was just testing it out.
This is Essie-Bikini So Teeny, and this picture is not color accurate at all. Bikini So Teeny definitely has more purple undertones and is more of a periwinkle color. I also used Orly-Etoile on top, to give it some more shimmer. That doesn't really show up either. And usually I don't like polishes with shimmer. Like I said, really weird mood today.
And then guess what. I MATTED it! For those of you who know me, I NEVER matte things! Gosh I was like all sorts of messed up today. Shimmer, then matte...that NEVER happens!
So yeah that's all I got for today. Oh also the formula is trash. It's like streaky and runny and thin and watery, and I can still see some bald/patchy spots even after I topcoated it. *sigh* and it was such a nice color too.
This whole one color thing is so not me.
Don't get used to it.

My Birthday Balloon Mani!

Hey guys! Exciting post for you today! So I know I'm a couple days late with this post, but my SIXTEENTH birthday was on Monday! It was a pretty awesome day, starting with my counting down the minutes to Monday morning on a marching band bus coming back from Annapolis. But that's besides the point. And what would my birthday be without a manicure to go along with it?!
So I did these cute balloon nails!
Yay balloons! Is there any better way to celebrate your birthday than with balloons? I think not.
Except for cake.
And presents.
:P
I used a sponge to dab on a slight white "french" tip. After that I used a dotting tool to make the balloon shape. The colors, from pinky to thumb, are Zoya-Arizona, Essie-Playdate, Sally Hansen-Mellow Yellow, Essie-Turqoise & Caicos, and Francesca's-Bridesmaid.
I used a striping brush and black to roughly outline the balloons and add the string. These were meant to look a little cartoon-y and child-like. I also used Wet N' Wild-Kaleidoscope to add some glittery sparkle!
So yay that was my birthday manicure!
Also, got myself some early birthday presents, the first of many to come I'm sure :P
The left is Sephora Formula X-Light Me Up Edison and the right is Sephora Formula X-Nova! Yay another polish named Nova! Be ready to see swatches of those coming up!
That's all for today guys thanks for reading!
